A delegation led by LI Wenbo, vice mayor of Huangshi, visited the Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences on Sept. 16, 2022. Together with the vice mayor were CHEN Hequan, director general of Huangshi Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs, HE RuiFeng, director general of Huangshi Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, YI Chenglong, deputy director general of Municipal Bureau of Rural Economic Management.    

Having fully acknowledged the important role IHB played in the aquaculture industry in Huangshi, Li hoped that IHB researchers would continue to collaborate and communicate more deeply with relevant units in Huangshi, develop excellent varieties and brands, and continue to provide S&T support to the aquaculture industry in Huangshi for a green development of high quality.   

In addition, the vice mayor invited IHB researchers to attend the upcoming Huangshi meeting on attracting talent and promoting investment.   

YIN Zhan, director of IHB, expressed a warm welcome to the visit of vice mayor and his delegation. “Besides supporting local S&T development, the institute will provide strong S&T support for Huangshi aquatic green farming, water ecosystem protection and restoration,”said Yin.
