On April 27th, 2023, Wuhan Regional Center of Life Science Instrument which is affiliated to the Chinese Academy of Sciences held its annual commendation meeting for 2023. Hosted by the Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a leading member of the center, the event saw participation from representatives of technical support and management from several CAS institutes in Wuhan. 

The meeting was chaired by HU Wei, deputy director of IHB and a member of the center's management committee. YIN Zhan, director of IHB and head of the center's management committee, acknowledged the center's achievements for 2023. He proposed, "There should be more in-depth cross-disciplinary collaboration within the center to seek more distinctive directions for development."  

During the meeting, outstanding teams and individuals who demonstrated exceptional performance in large-scale shared instrument operation and technical service capabilities for 2021 and 2022 were recognized and rewarded. Subsequently, outstanding teams and technical experts recommended by each institute-level center reported on their achievements for 2023 and underwent on-the-spot evaluation by the commendation committee. The outstanding teams and technical experts for 2023 were ultimately selected.
