On November 27, the Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences held a meeting to review and discuss platform initiatives for 2024. The session was led by director MIAO Wei, with participation from senior leadership, including deputy directors XIE Shouqi, LIANG Qiong, and XU Jun, along with cresearch center heads, department leaders, platform representatives, and staff. 

During the meeting, 19 representatives from various sectors—including field stations, support platforms, strategic resource platforms, and provincial-level laboratories and engineering centers—presented updates on their current progress, challenges, and future development plans. The attendees engaged in discussions on platform development, talent acquisition and cultivation, collaboration between institutes and local entities, and team cooperation. These exchanges further clarified the platforms' roles in supporting IHB's pursuit of technological advancements.
