IHB Holds Leadership Performance Review

On December 19, 2024, the Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences held its annual leadership performance review for 2024. The meeting, attended by around 100 participants, included members of the leadership team, academic committees, department heads, technical staff, and employee representatives.

In the meeting, Director MIAO Wei provided a summary of the institute's key achievements and activities for the year. Miao outlined how the institute has been advancing its scientific research initiatives and addressing strategic priorities.

Vice director XIE Shouqi followed with a report on the institute's organizational development efforts. He highlighted the successful implementation of key directives from CAS leadership, ongoing initiatives to strengthen the institute's internal culture, and efforts to build a skilled workforce. Xie also discussed how the institute has been cultivating a disciplined and supportive environment to foster scientific innovation.

Finally, the Wuhan Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences conducted a performance review of the institute’s leadership, gathering feedback from staff on their effectiveness.
