On December 11, 2024, the Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, hosted the annual progress meeting of the National Key R&D Program on "Marine Agriculture and Freshwater Fisheries Innovation" in Shenzhen. The focus was on the "Green and High-Quality Aquaculture Nutrition Regulation Mechanisms and Precision Feed Technologies for Shrimp, Mollusks, Sea Cucumber, and Crabs." Over 100 experts, scholars, and industry representatives from universities, research institutions, and enterprises participated in the event.

The meeting began with opening remarks from WU Xingqiang, head of the Office of Research and Technology Development at IHB, and XU Xuan, project manager at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Both expressed strong support for the project’s objectives, emphasizing the importance of addressing national needs, advancing aquatic animal nutrition regulation, developing precision feed technologies, and improving the quality of aquatic feed.
