ISA Delegation Visits IHB for Discussions on Talent Development and Institutional Reform

On April 7, 2025, a delegation from the Institute of Subtropical Agriculture (ISA) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, led by director CHEN Hongsong and accompanied by department heads for science and technology management and human resources, visited the Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. They were welcomed by IHB director MIAO Wei and representatives from relevant departments.
During the meeting, ZHANG Mi, acting deputy head of the Office of Personnel and Talent Management at IHB, introduced the institute’s initiatives in talent recruitment, position management, performance evaluation, and salary distribution reforms. Participants engaged in an in-depth exchange on topics including organizational restructuring, innovative approaches to talent acquisition, and the optimization of scientific evaluation systems.
In his remarks, Miao highlighted the close ties between ISA and IHB as sister institutes within the CAS system. He noted that the visit fostered valuable exchanges of experience in breaking disciplinary boundaries, strengthening cross-departmental collaboration, improving policy support systems, and developing flexible evaluation frameworks. He expressed hope for establishing regular exchanges to deepen collaboration and drive shared development through themed discussions and joint activities.
