IHB Wins Several Awards at Hubei High-Quality Development of Technology Resource Sharing Conference

On March 20, the Hubei High-Quality Development of Technology Resource Sharing Conference was held at the Hongshan Building Conference Center in Wuhan, Hubei Province. The event attracted nearly 500 representatives from universities, research institutes, municipal and provincial science and technology bureaus, technology resource sharing platforms, and key technology enterprises both from within and outside the province. Attendees gathered to discuss innovative pathways for technology resource sharing and to foster mutual learning and collaborative development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Central China Urban Cluster in this field.

The Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences actively participated in the conference, with several achievements being awarded.

During the parallel forum, “2025 Hubei Province Technology Resource Sharing Promotion and Summary Meeting,” HUANG Dan, head of the Office of Basic Science and Technology Capacity at IHB, delivered a presentation titled “The Practice and Experience of Technology Resource Sharing at the Institute of Hydrobiology.” In the session, Huang shared insights on regional collaboration, platform development, and resource sharing, sparking in-depth discussions.

In the “Hubei Province Self-developed EquipmentExhibition and Evaluation” session, the Research Group on Fishery Intelligent Technology and Equipment at IHB was awarded the First Prize (ranked first in the province) for its “Fish Intelligent Identification and Monitoring System.” Meanwhile, the Center for Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in Aquatic Life Sciences at the Institute received the Third Prize for its “Three-Mode, Multi-channel eDNA Sampling Instrument.

Additionally, the IHB's library was officially inducted into the Hubei Province Science and Technology Information Sharing Service Platform as a new member and was awarded a plaque. As part of this new role, the library will further enrich the platform’s information resources in fields such as fisheries, ecology, and aquatic biology, providing strong support for scientific research and industrial development in relevant sectors within Hubei.

The conference also recognized outstanding individuals with awards for their contributions. LIU Liyue received the “Outstanding Individual” award for laboratory animal facility management and resource services, while ZUO Yanxia was honored as an “Outstanding Service Award” for her work with the Hubei Province Scientific Instrument and Equipment Collaborative Sharing Network.
