The 14th International Meeting on Ciliate Molecular Biology was held in Saxtons River, Vermont, United States from July 19th to July 24th, 2009. Experts from more than 10 countries attended this meeting.  

IHB Prof. Wei MIAO, sponsored by K.C.Wong Education Foundation (Hong Kong) went to attend this meeting and gave a conference report entitled “Tetrahymena Gene Expression Database”. He also presented his poster “The application of Tetrahymena bioreporter in monitoring the environmental hormones based on microarray analyses and genetically modified Tetrahymena cell lines” at the meeting, introducing the newly achieved progress in Tetrahymena gene expression database and molecular toxicology at IHB.  

The International Meeting on Ciliate Molecular Biology is one of the FASEB Summer research conferences and a biannual meeting which represents the highest level of this filed.
