IHB Professor Investigates Great Lakes Region of North America
IHB Prof. Renhui LI at America's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
Invited by Dr. Juli Dyble from the Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and Prof. Hans Paerl from University of North Carolina, IHB Prof. Renhui LI visited the Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory which locates in Ann Arbor, Michigan and the Institute of Marine Sciences which locates in Morehead city, North Carolina.
During his visit, Prof. Li gave two academic reports on “Water bloom forming cyanobacteria in China: morphotypes, genotypes and toxitypes” and “Researches on water bloom forming cyanobacteria and cyanotoxins in China”. He also paid a visit to Lake Erie, one of the Great Lakes of North America, and collected samples of the cyanobacterial blooms in the western part of the lake.
To the end of Prof. Li’s visit, scientists from both China and America reached an agreement on the collaborative research on cyanobacterial blooms.
