IHB Prof. Sun Yonghua Attends IUPS 2013

The International Union of Physiological Sciences World Congress (IUPS 2013) was held in Birmingham, UK from July 21 to 26. More than 2,000 scholars and experts from all around the world attended the Congress.
At the invitation of Prof. Denis Noble, who is the president of IUPS and Professor Emeritus of Cardiovascular Physiology, Oxford University, Dr. Sun Yonghua, Professor of Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB), attended the Congress and gave a presentation entitled “Cross-species cloning: influence of cytoplasmic factors on development” at the Symposia organized by Prof. Denis Noble.
The first International Congress of Physiological Sciences was organized in Basle, Switzerland in 1889. After 1989, the congress was held every three years. The 38th Congress will take place in Rio de Janeiro in 2017. China has successfully won the bid to host the 39th Congress.
