Prof. Konrad Dabrowski from Ohio State University paid a visit to IHB on Dec. 10, 2014.
Prof. Konrad Dabrowski from Ohio State University paid a visit to Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHB) on Dec. 10, 2014. During his visit, he gave an oral presentation with the title of “Vitamins(C, B1 and E)in nutrition of cultured and wild fish: stress and health implications” for the audience.
Prof. Dabrowski began his presentation with the developing history of vitamin C, B1 and E. He then introduced their latest findings in the requirements of vitamins in fish. After the presentation, attendees interacted with Prof. Dabrowski on issues of mutual interests.
Prof. Dabrowski’s area of expertise is aquaculture. His research interests mainly lie in the fish physiology, fish nutrition, evolutionary aspects of ascorbic acid synthesis in aquatic animals’ aquaculture methods in reproduction and rearing of freshwater fishes with emphasis on fish bioenergetics in intensive systems, ponds, and lake cages, sperm physiology, sperm cryopreservation etc.
