Professor Lee Brown from the University of Leeds Visits Xiangxi River Station

On May 31, 2024, Professor Lee Brown from the School of Geography at the University of Leeds visited the Xiangxi River Ecosystem Research Station in the Three Gorges Reservoir Region (hereinafter referred to as the Xiangxi River Station) affiliated to the Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
XU Jun, deputy director of IHB, and CAI Qinghua, director of the Station, extended a warm welcome to Professor Lee Brown. YE Lin, deputy director of the Station, gave a detailed introduction to the long-term monitoring plan, major research directions, and achievements of the Xiangxi River Station.
Professor Lee Brown and his team conducted field inspections of some sampling points set up by the Xiangxi River Station. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on field monitoring sites, indicator settings, and monitoring methods, and held detailed talks on future collaborative research projects.
