A five-member delegation led by WANG Yong, vice director general of Wuhan Bureau of Achievements Transformation, visited IHB on May 15, 2018. 

A five-member delegation led by WANG Yong, vice director general of Wuhan Bureau of Achievements Transformation, paid a visit to Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences on May 15, 2018. Their trip was to inspect the Center for Microalgal Biotechnology & Biofuels and China Zebrafish Resource Center (CZRC). Together with this delegation were CHEN Jian, vice director of academic division of Wuhan Bureau of Achievements Transformation; ZHU Zhihua, vice director of Wuhan S&T Development Promotion Center; LI Jing, vice director general of Scientific Innovation Bureau (SIB) of Donghu High-tech Development Zone and ZHOU Xing, section chief from the SIB.    

During their visit, IHB Prof. HU Qiang who is director of the Center for Microalgal Biotechnology & Biofuels, as well as Prof. HAN Danxiang, introduced the overview of the Center and the achievements and industrial plans made in the field of health and aquaculture. IHB Prof. SUN Yonghua, director of the CZRC, as well as senior engineer PAN Luyuan, introduced the overview of the Center and the application and industrial prospect of zebrafish in human health and biomedicines.    

LI Jing introduced the policies on the achievements transformation, its financing ability and the professional team established for the achievements transformation in the Donghu High-tech Development Zone. He also gave some of his advices to IHB on the achievements transformation.    

WANG Yong positively commented on the achievements IHB made in freshwater fishery, water environment protection and the utilization of algal bio-resources. He said that with the support of relevant policies made by the Donghu High-tech Development Zone, IHB could cooperate with the Zone and promote the process of achievements transformation.    

IHB’s deputy director Prof. XIE Shouqi said IHB could give full play to its academic strengths in the transformation of achievements and actively promote the connection between scientific achievements and industry.
