Professor from Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology Visits IHB
Prof. CHAI Jianyuan from Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology visited IHB on May 31, 2019.
At the invitation of Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. CHAI Jianyuan from Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology paid a visit to the institute on May 31, 2019. During his visit, he gave an oral presentation to introduce his research life from water to land.
Prof. Chai shared his research experience.In 1982,Prof. Chai graduated from the Department of Biology of Inner Mongolia University and then studied at IHB for a master program and obtained his MSc at IHB.
He then worked at the Harvard Institute of Medicine and shifted his directions from aquatic organisms to terrestrial organisms (spiders), SRF function, development and aging process of cardiovascular system. In 2004, he set up the Lab of gastrointestinal injury and cancer study.
IHB researchers and students exchanged views with Prof. Chai on how he continued to do a good job after he changed his research direction.
Professor Chai is a professor of Baotou Medical College, Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology. He has published dozens of research articles on various subjects including zoology, cardiovascular biology, gastroenterology, and cancer biology. In addition, he holds memberships with AGA, AHA, ASBMB and other professional organizations. Dr. Chai has also served in the editorial board of multiple journals and has been a solicited reviewer for national and international funding agencies.
