YIN Zhan Elected Director of IHB

The vice president of Wuhan Branch, Chinese Academy of Sciences LI Haibo announced that YIN Zhan was elected director of Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences on September 29.   

Yin will succeed ZHAO Jindong who served as director of IHB from 2007 to 2018.    

Yin obtained his PhD degree from the National University of Singapore in 1999. His research directions are fish molecular endocrinology; endocrine regulation of fishmetabolism, somatic growth, reproduction; and zebrafish as aquatic models for endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) assessment.    

“We will carry with us the core values of the older generation, and push the institute forward in the world of dynamism, “Yin said.    

Li congratulated Yin’s promotion, and hoped IHB, under Yin’s leadership, would be more fruitful in its specialized fields.
