CAS Training Course in Mass Communication 2020 Held in Wuhan


An expert team from the CUC provides media simulation exercises to the trainees at the CAS Training Course in Mass Communication 2020, Nov. 26.

The Training Course in Mass Communication 2020, organized by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was held at Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of Chinese Academy of Sciences, during November 25 and 26.   

The course focused on the features and media ecology of the emerging omnimedia era. The new technologies have brought dramatic changes to the traditional media. “In the era of vast information, quality and quantity both matter,” said DONG Guanpeng when he lectured one of the courses. Dong is the dean of the School of Government and Public Affairs at the Communication University of China (CUC).   

An expert team from the CUC provided media simulation exercises to the trainees. Through simulated interviews and press briefings, trainees learned how to respond in every media format and became more confident.   

The two-day course has more than 70 in attendance, with another 700 people watched it online.
