2024 Annual Meeting of the Regional Center for Large-Scale Life Science Instruments Held in Wuhan

On January 6, 2025,the Regional Center for Large-Scale Life Science Instruments in Wuhan, under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, convened its 2024 Annual Management Committee Meeting and Summary & Recognition Ceremony. The event was hosted by the Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and attended by technical and management representatives from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Wuhan Botanical Garden, and the Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology.

The meeting was chaired by HU Wei, deputy director of IHB and member of the Regional Center Management Committee. MIAO Wei, director of IHB and chair of the Management Committee, delivered opening remarks, commending the Center’s strong performance in 2024, including its high ratings in the Open Sharing Assessment. He encouraged member institutes to enhance collaboration, streamline technical services, and work toward more efficient operations to provide greater support for scientific research.

Each institute’s technical center presented updates on their 2024 achievements and discussed key topics such as cost-efficient operation models for analytical platforms. Specialized platforms with notable successes shared case studies on improving efficiency through innovative management and services, offering valuable insights for other teams.

The meeting also featured a selection process for annual recognitions. Outstanding teams and individuals were honored with the titles "Outstanding Collective" and "Technical Expert" for 2024, with an awards ceremony held during the event.
