The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) successfully concluded its 2025 International Science Communication Training Class, held from October 22nd to 24th at the Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Wuhan. The event brought together over 120 communication professionals from various CAS institutes for intensive sessions on enhancing global science outreach.

The training opened with welcoming remarks, which included an overview of IHB and highlighted CAS's significant achievements in international science communication for 2025. These achievements encompass the development of its English website network, the expansion of its global social media presence, and the effective promotion of major scientific events and research breakthroughs.

The training featured expert lectures from leading national institutions. Presentations covered key topics such as conducting news release work in the new era, planning foreign media visits and engaging with international journalists, and practical skills for English science news writing and social media communication.

Spanning three days, the training was praised for its comprehensive and practical curriculum. Attendees engaged in in-depth discussions with experts on common challenges in international communication, sharing experiences and brainstorming solutions. Many noted that the blend of policy interpretation, theoretical guidance, and hands-on skill development significantly boosted their professional capacity.

The training program was organized by the CAS Bureau of International Cooperation and co-hosted by IHB and the Computer Network Information Center under the CAS.
